About Us
The Kansas City Rowing Club is open to all individuals regardless of race, gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation, economic status, athletic ability or general disposition. Members are required to complete a USRowing waiver, pay membership fees and boat storage (if applicable), become familiar with the Club's rules and safety procedures, and demonstrate proficient rowing skill OR complete a beginning rowing clinic.
Club memberships are NOT required for Learn-To-Rows, Clinics or Leagues. However, members may participate in all other club events and race under the KCRC club name and colors in local, regional and national competition. Members are notified of upcoming races and entries are processed through coaches. Every effort is made to coordinate the transportation and use of equipment to satisfy member needs.
We exist due to the wealth of talent and energy of our membership. All members must make themselves available for volunteer work throughout the season. Whether it is a work party for grounds cleanup, helping with Learn To Row sessions, fundraising, or special events, it is the responsibility of every member to contribute to the enrichment of our organization both on and off the water. Don’t worry about now knowing what to do…we’ll teach you! Volunteer opportunities are posted on the message Board.
